Description
In the spooky old Scottish castle of 18 Ghosts, a group of ghosts have been cooped up together for half a millennium and they're thoroughly sick of each other's company. Each ghost is desperate to break free from the castle and go on wild adventures, but they're trapped. That is, until three magical portals appear, offering a glimmer of hope for escape. With the portals only open for a short time, the ghosts scramble to slip through them, trying to outmaneuver each other in a frantic bid for freedom. In this quick and easy-to-learn game, designed by Michael Rieneck, two players compete to be the first to help their ghosts escape the castle. The goal is simple: get a red, blue, and yellow ghost outside the castle and you win. With a playtime of just 15 minutes, 18 Ghosts is a fast-paced and thrilling game that combines grid movement, rock-paper-scissors, and set collection mechanics to create a unique and exciting experience. As an abstract strategy game with a horror twist, 18 Ghosts is perfect for fans of strategic gameplay and spooky themes, and its simple rules make it accessible to new players. Published in 2010, this base game is a great introduction to the world of ghostly escape artists.
