Description

In 18SJ: Railways in the Frozen North, you'll embark on a journey to build and invest in railroad corporations in 19th century Sweden and Norway. As one of two to six players, you'll navigate the challenges of constructing mainlines and managing stocks to maximize your profits. The game features a unique nationalization mechanism, which means that each playthrough will be different, with a varying number of corporations available by the end of the game. With its complex rules and multiple mechanics, including connections, market, and route building, 18SJ is a game that will keep you on your toes. Designed by Örjan Wennman and published in 2021, it's a great option for fans of economic and train-themed games. Be prepared to spend a few hours playing, as games can last anywhere from 120 to 300 minutes, but the payoff is worth it – will you emerge as the most successful investor in the Nordic railways?
