Description

Get ready to dive into the world of high-stakes train management with 18SX, a game that's all about building your railroad empire. Designed by Wolfram Janich and first published in 2003, this game is a reworking of the earlier 1837 SX, and it's packed with complex rules and mechanics that will keep you on your toes. With 3 to 7 players, you'll need to navigate the challenges of auctioning, bidding, and stock holding, all while building your network of train routes and managing your tile placements. As you play, you'll have to make tough decisions about which corporations to back, with 13 different options available and up to 10 in play at any given time. The unique track system adds an extra layer of strategy, as you'll need to choose between single and double tracks, which can affect the length of your routes. With a playtime of around 300 minutes, this game is not for the faint of heart, but if you're up for the challenge, you'll be rewarded with a rich and immersive gaming experience. Whether you're a seasoned train game enthusiast or just looking for a new challenge, 18SX is definitely worth checking out.
