Description
In Signal, you and your friends take on the roles of Experts trying to crack the code of an Alien's way of thinking. The goal is to figure out how the Alien responds to different signals, and then use that knowledge to come to an agreement with them. The twist is that the Alien has its own set of rules for responding, and only they know what those rules are. As Experts, you'll work together to create and send signals to the Alien, trying to understand their thought process and find a way to communicate effectively. The gameplay is all about deduction, pattern recognition, and a little bit of guessing. On each turn, you'll arrange black and white pieces on a mat to create a signal, discussing and debating with your fellow Experts about what to send. The Alien will then respond based on their secret rules, adding, removing, or adjusting the signal to try to help you understand them. As you analyze the Alien's responses, you'll start to pick up on patterns and clues that will help you figure out what they're trying to say. You'll have a limited number of guesses and some special abilities to help you along the way, but the key to success is working together and using your collective brains to crack the code. As you progress through the game, the challenges will get tougher and the rules will get more complex. But if you and your fellow Experts can work together to understand the Alien and come to an agreement three times in a row, you'll all win the game and earn a score based on how efficiently you solved the puzzles. With its unique blend of cooperative gameplay, deduction, and puzzle-solving, Signal is a game that will keep you and your friends engaged and entertained for 10 to 20 minutes at a time. Designed by Jasper Beatrix and published in 2025, Signal is a thrilling science fiction game that's easy to learn but challenging to master, making it perfect for 2 to 6 players who love a good brain teaser.
