Description

Yanks is the American extension to the Advanced Squad Leader game system, and it's not a standalone game - you'll need to own the base game to play. This expansion pack is all about commanding the US Army in the European Theater, with a vast array of vehicles, weapons, and troop types at your disposal. With 519 half-inch counters and 528 five-eighths inch counters, you'll have everything you need to recreate the intensity of World War II battles. The game comes with four mounted mapboards and eight scenarios, including Backs to the Sea, Taking the Left Tit, and Gavin's Gamble, which will challenge even the most seasoned players. As a wargame, Yanks is not for the faint of heart - the rules can be complicated and take some time to learn, but the payoff is well worth the effort. Designed by Rex A. Martin and first published in 1987, this game has become a classic among fans of the genre. The hexagon grid game mechanics add a layer of strategy and depth to the gameplay, making each battle feel unique and unpredictable. With a playtime of around 120 minutes, Yanks is a significant investment of time, but for fans of World War II games and the Advanced Squad Leader system, it's an essential addition to their collection. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for a new challenge, Yanks is sure to deliver hours of intense and engaging gameplay.
