Description

This is not the simple game played with your hands you're used to, where rock smashes scissors, scissors cut paper, and paper covers rock. Rock, Scissors, Paper is a two-player strategy board game where each player has a set of Rocks, Scissors, and Papers, and the goal is to capture the enemy's flags. The game takes place on a hexagonal grid, where each type of piece has different movement abilities, making it easy to learn but challenging to master. As you play, you'll discover that each type of piece interacts differently with others, adding a layer of complexity to the game. For example, two Paper pieces can stack on top of each other, while Scissors lock together, and Rocks knock one another about. The classic rock-paper-scissors rules still apply, with Rocks capturing Scissors, Scissors capturing Paper, and Paper capturing Rock. But now, you'll need to think several steps ahead, anticipating your opponent's moves and strategizing to outmaneuver them. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, you can quickly get in a game or two, and the easy-to-learn rules make it accessible to newcomers. Designed by Greg Lam and first published in 2001, Rock, Scissors, Paper is a unique take on the classic hand game, and its abstract strategy and print-and-play mechanics make it a great option for those looking for a game that's a little different. As a two-player game, it's perfect for a head-to-head matchup with a friend or family member, and the game's short playtime means you can easily fit in a few rounds. With its simple yet strategic gameplay, Rock, Scissors, Paper is a game that will keep you coming back for more, as you try to outwit your opponent and emerge victorious.
