Description
Hatten in Flames is a historical module that drops you into the intense fighting of World War II, specifically the battle for the French village of Hatten in January 1945. This expansion for the Advanced Squad Leader series puts you in the midst of a desperate struggle between American and German forces, with the Germans attempting to break through to the open terrain of Alsace. The game focuses on the first five days of the battle, where a small number of infantry companies and tank platoons clashed in a daily struggle for control of the village. As a player, you'll experience the challenges of combined-arms warfare, making tough decisions about how to allocate your resources and outmaneuver your opponent. The game includes eight scenarios and two Campaign Games, which provide a manageable and exciting experience, even for experienced players. With its modular board, hexagon grid, and line of sight mechanics, Hatten in Flames offers a complex and realistic simulation of war. Designed by Andy Rogers and published in 2018, this game is not for the faint of heart - the rules are complicated and will take time to learn, even for seasoned gamers. But for those willing to dive in, Hatten in Flames promises a rich and rewarding experience that will keep you coming back for more.
