Description

Ritual is a fast-paced cooperative game that's all about working together, but with a twist - you can't talk about your plans. Instead, you'll be using actions to communicate with your fellow players, giving and taking colored stones, known as runes, to achieve your secret goals. With two to six players taking part, it's a game that's perfect for a group of friends or family, and with a playtime of just 15 to 25 minutes, you can easily fit in a few rounds in one sitting. The game takes place over three timed rounds, and in that time, you'll need to work together to complete the public ritual, while also keeping your own private goals in mind. The rules are easy to learn, so you can dive right in, even if you're new to cooperative games. Designer Tomás Tarragón has created a game that's all about deduction and memory, as you try to figure out what your fellow players are trying to achieve, and adjust your actions accordingly. It's a real-time game, so you'll need to think on your feet, and be prepared to adapt your strategy as the rounds progress. Released in 2022, Ritual is a great addition to any game night, and its unique blend of communication limits, cooperation, and deduction makes it a really interesting and fun game to play. With its simple rules and short playtime, it's a great introduction to cooperative games, and its real-time nature means it's always exciting and unpredictable. Whether you're a seasoned gamer or just looking for something new to try, Ritual is definitely worth checking out - so gather your friends, and get ready to work together to achieve the ultimate goal, the public ritual.
