You'll start by assigning medical conditions to 10 customers, ranging from something relatively minor like tooth decay to something much more serious like cancer. Each condition has a premium, which is what the customer pays to be insured by you, and a cost, which is what you'll have to pay out if they make a claim. As the game unfolds over 24 rounds, representing two years of 12 months each, you'll calculate your premiums and then roll two dice to see which claims you need to pay out. The difference between the two is your profit for that month, and it's up to you to make sure you're coming out on top. Every quarter, you can choose a condition to deny, which means you won't have to pay out if its number comes up, and you can also use your dice to invest in things like lobbying, marketing, or personal security.
