Description

D-Day at Omaha Beach is a solitaire study of America's most bloody and heroic day in WWII, where you control the US forces landing along the five mile stretch of Omaha Beach and their desperate struggle to establish a viable beachhead. The game covers the entire first day at a time scale that varies from 15 minutes per turn to 30 minutes per turn later in the day. Units are companies and include assaulting infantry, engineers, and amphibious tanks, with the game system controlling the hidden German defenders in their resistance points. As you play, you'll experience the intensity of amphibious landings, German fields of fire, artillery, and tidal movement, all while managing US leadership under fire and the initiative of the American GI. With a unique blend of simulation and strategy, D-Day at Omaha Beach is a challenging and immersive game that will keep you engaged for 120 to 480 minutes, making it a must-play for fans of wargames and World War II history.
