Description

In Veritas, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure through medieval France, where the preservation of truth is paramount. As one of 3 to 6 players, you'll take on the role of a "truth" seeking to be preserved for posterity by diligent book-copying monks. Your goal is to spread your ideology across the land by placing and copying book tokens in monasteries, then picking up stacks of books and delivering them to various regions. As the game unfolds over 60 minutes, monasteries will burn down, and the books within may be destroyed, adding an element of unpredictability to the game. However, this also allows for faster travel across the board as the game progresses. The player who dominates a region with their ideology will score points, and the first to reach 100 points will emerge victorious, becoming the dominant truth as the Dark Ages come to an end. With easy-to-learn rules, Veritas offers a fun and engaging experience for all players.
