Description

In the heart of 2nd Century Rome, the thrill of the Circus Maximus beckons, and with it, a lucrative black market for tickets to the most sought-after events. As the leader of a gang of cunning traders, you'll navigate the intricate web of favors and connections to get your hands on the most valuable tickets. With 3 to 5 players vying for control, the competition is fierce, and only the most strategic and resourceful will emerge victorious. The rules are easy to learn, but mastering the game will take skill and a bit of humor, as you outmaneuver your opponents to maximize your profits. As you send your traders to Caesar's villa to secure favors, and then to the Forum Romanum to purchase the most lucrative tickets, you'll need to balance risk and reward. The goal is to sell your tickets to the wealthiest visitors at the right moment, all while keeping a watchful eye on your rivals. With a playtime of just 45 minutes, Circus Maximus is a fast-paced and entertaining game that's perfect for a fun night with friends. Designed by Jeffrey D. Allers and first published in 2008, this ancient-themed card game combines economic strategy with a dash of humor, making it a unique and engaging experience that will keep you coming back for more.
