Description
Amateurs to Arms is a historical simulation game where two players take on the roles of the British and American forces during the War of 1812. This often-overlooked conflict comes to life as players navigate the various theaters of battle, from the US/Canadian border to the Great Lakes and beyond. With a playtime of 150 minutes, players will need to strategically manage their resources and make tactical decisions to outmaneuver their opponent. As players take turns, they'll deal with the challenges of war, including seasonal changes and the impact of events in Europe. The game's mechanics, such as area movement and secret unit deployment, add a layer of complexity and excitement to the gameplay. With the goal of emerging victorious from the negotiations at Ghent, players will need to balance their military efforts with the growing war weariness of their people, making for a thrilling and immersive gaming experience.
