Description

UBOOT: The Board Game is a cooperative, real-time tabletop game of WW2 submarine warfare where 1 to 4 players take on the roles of Captain, First Officer, Navigator, and Chief Engineer on a type VIIC U-boat. The game is driven by a companion app, allowing for realism and a challenging enemy A.I. that demands teamwork, efficient crew management, and quick situation assessment. Each role has unique responsibilities, encouraging players to develop communication and use navy terminology. Players can engage in quick skirmishes, full combat missions, or an all-out campaign, conducting submarine operations in major naval theatres of WW2. Success hinges on completing tasks delegated by the German Navy HQ, such as patrol duty, ambushing convoys, and laying mines. The companion app generates a detailed report at the end of each game session, evaluating player efforts and possibly awarding decorations. With its immersive gameplay and realistic sound effects, UBOOT: The Board Game challenges players to command the Kriegsmarine's finest and brave the stormy seas of WW2.
