Description
In the medieval world of The King's Abbey, players take on the role of architects tasked with building a great gothic structure to leave the Dark Ages behind. With the help of master architect Elias, King Sivolc has hired the greatest architects and monks in the land to complete this task. Players use their own player board to manage resources and build their abbey, assigning monks represented by dice to different tasks such as gathering resources, constructing buildings, and defending against the darkness. As the game progresses over seven rounds, the darkness grows, representing challenges like depression, famine, and raiders. Players must keep their abbey's defenses strong while completing crusades and building towers and other structures to earn prestige. The player with the most prestige at the end of the seventh round wins the game. With its unique blend of worker placement and resource management, The King's Abbey offers a fun and challenging experience for 1 to 5 players.
