Description
Catan is off the island and in America, where the 19th Century has arrived and Americans are heading west. Wagon trains are forming up and heading out to settle new lands and build new cities, which will need railroad lines to bring in new people and necessary goods. Players take on the role of settlers, collecting and trading resources to purchase, migrate, and build settlements, forge railroads, and acquire locomotives. As players link cities with rails of steel and operate their railroad to supply the townsfolk with goods, they'll need to finance their settlers and make smart decisions to find new sources and markets. With the familiar Catan hex-tile grid presenting a map of the United States, players will experience a new level of depth and complexity, especially with the addition of gold, which increases options for players as westward locations are settled and old sources of resources deplete.
