Description
Catacombs is an action-packed adventure board game where one player takes on the role of the Overseer, controlling the monsters of the catacombs, while the other players work together as heroes to defeat them and ultimately the Catacomb Lord. Each hero has unique abilities that must be used effectively to succeed. The game is easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, and can be played with 2 to 5 players in 30 to 60 minutes. The game's main mechanism involves flicking wooden discs to represent heroes and monsters, with contact between pieces inflicting damage. Players can also use special abilities like missiles and spells to outmaneuver their opponents. As heroes progress through the catacombs, they can purchase items and upgrades from the Merchant using gold collected from fallen monsters. The goal is to defeat the Catacomb Lord, while the Overseer wins if all heroes are defeated, making for a thrilling and fast-paced game.
