Description

In the year 980 AD, the Viking era is in full swing, and King Harold Bluetooth is on a mission to protect his people from enemy attacks. To do this, he's tasked his followers with building a mighty Viking fort, known as Aggersborg, surrounded by a circular wall that safeguards 48 long houses. The fort is divided into four districts by two crossing roads, and the king is keeping a close eye on the construction work. As a follower, you'll be working to complete houses and districts, earning the privilege of working on the wall and gaining the king's favor. In Aggersborg, 2 to 4 players take on the role of these followers, competing to build the most impressive sections of the fort and gain the most influence. With easy-to-learn rules, this game is accessible to players of all skill levels, and its 60-minute playtime makes it a great fit for a fun evening with friends. Designed by Uwe Fischle and first published in 2005, Aggersborg combines area majority and enclosure mechanics to create a thrilling experience that's full of strategic depth. As you navigate the challenges of building Aggersborg, you'll be transported back in time to the ancient world of Viking warriors and medieval fortresses, making for a truly immersive and enjoyable gaming experience.
