Description

Storming the Reich is a game about the World War II Allied campaign to liberate Northwest Europe from Nazi occupation, where players take on the challenge of navigating a brutal and intense battle for control. The game opens on the evening of D-Day, with the Allies on the beaches and the Germans reacting to the landings, and covers the full campaign through to the battle of the Ruhr Pocket in April of 1945. With a playtime of 400 minutes, this game is designed for 1 to 2 players who are familiar with board games, and its normal complexity rules make it easy to learn and dive into. As players take on the roles of the Allies and Germans, they will face difficult logistical decisions, including managing units and resources, and making strategic choices about which operations to prioritize. The Allies will need to break out from the beaches and race across France, while the Germans will need to counter with limited reinforcements and clever use of their units. With three scenarios to choose from, including a full 15-turn campaign and two shorter scenarios, players can experience the intensity and challenge of this pivotal moment in World War II history. Designed by Ted Raicer and published in 2010, Storming the Reich is a game of strategy and skill that will keep players engaged and invested in the outcome.
