Description

The Campaigns of King David is a game of strategy and skill that drops you into the midst of a 35-year struggle for supremacy in the ancient Near East. As one of two to five players, you'll take on the role of a leader vying for control of the fertile crescent during the reign of Judah's King David. With a unique system that combines economics, diplomacy, and military operations, you'll maneuver combat units and leaders across a full-color map, making key decisions to achieve victory. The game is designed for players familiar with board games, and its normal complexity rules make it easy to learn and dive into. As you play, you'll need to manage your resources carefully, building and maintaining your armies, fortifying cities, and waging war through leaders who command chariots, phalanxes, and militia. Each turn is unique, with 15 Action Phase Chits to choose from, ensuring that no two games are ever the same. The game is divided into seven turns, each with five separate sections, and play can last from three to six hours, depending on the number of players. Will Judeah expand its territory under the direction of a great king, or will it collapse beneath the might of its enemies? The fate of the ancient world is in your hands, and the outcome is far from certain. With its engaging gameplay and historical setting, The Campaigns of King David is a game that will challenge and reward you, again and again.
