Description

Alquerque is a fun and strategic board game designed by Alfonso X de Castille and Jorge Yañez, played between two players on a unique 5x5 grid board with diagonal lines. The game is easy to learn, with simple rules that allow players to dive into the action quickly. Each player starts with 12 pieces, placed on specific points on the board, and the goal is to capture all of your opponent's pieces or block them from making any moves. With a playtime of just 10 to 20 minutes, Alquerque is a great game for a quick challenge or a longer strategic session. Players take turns moving their pieces along the lines on the board, either making ordinary moves or capturing their opponent's pieces by hopping over them. The game requires abstract strategy and planning, making it an engaging and entertaining experience for players of all ages.
