Salerno '43 is a thrilling board game that drops you into the midst of World War II, specifically the Allied invasion of Italy in September 1943. As a regiment/brigade-level game, you'll be in command of British and American divisions as they land in the Bay of Salerno, facing off against the formidable 16th Panzer Division and other German mechanized divisions. The game is designed for two players, and with a playtime of 120 to 360 minutes, you'll have plenty of time to immerse yourself in the action. The rules are of normal complexity, making it easy for board game enthusiasts to learn and dive in. As you play, you'll experience the intensity of the invasion, with the survival of the beachhead hanging in the balance for eight days. You'll need to make strategic decisions to reinforce the beachhead and push back against the German counter-attack. The game includes two scenarios: a shorter 8-turn Invasion Scenario that can be finished in an afternoon, and a longer 24-turn Campaign Game where the Allies must exit the north map edge by the end of September 1943.
