Description

In the world of SYNOD, two players compete for control of the Synod of GearSeed, a realm of shifting power and intrigue. With a deck of just 18 cards, including 15 Noble cards and 3 Favor/Synod cards, players must strategically assert their influence using the three Castes of GearSeed: Coalkin, Thorned, and Gremlin. The game is easy to learn, but don't let that fool you - the simple mechanisms belie a depth of gameplay that will keep you on your toes. As you play, you'll need to decide when to play your Noble cards face up, granting you special abilities and influence, and when to play them face down, revealing their secrets at the end of the game. With a playtime of just 10 to 15 minutes, SYNOD is a quick but intense game of hand management and strategic thinking, designed by John Clowdus and first published in 2016.
