Description
In the world of Captains of the Golden Age, the pursuit of wealth and power knows no bounds. Set in a fictional East-Indies during the golden age of trading and piracy, players take on the role of captains navigating the high seas in search of valuable cargo, particularly pepper, which has just surpassed the price of gold. With their own ships and crews, players must gather resources to upgrade their vessels and outmaneuver their opponents. As players sail through the Orient and the Republic, they can trade cargo, attack other captains, and hire notorious pirates to ambush their competitors. With a unique blend of hand management, pick-up and deliver, and bluffing mechanics, Captains of the Golden Age is a game of skill and strategy where players must keep a close eye on their opponents and adapt to changing circumstances to emerge victorious.
