Description
In Expansion or Extinction, 2 to 4 players are thrown into a gritty science fiction world where the colonization of stars has taken a dark turn. With the fiery demise of Sol, earth's colonies are now rising from the ashes and vying for dominance. Players take on the role of leaders of these colonies, navigating the complexities of space travel, resource management, and interstellar warfare. The game is driven by a combination of campaign and battle card mechanics, with dice rolling adding an element of unpredictability to the mix. As players explore and expand their reach, they'll encounter three types of star systems, each with its own strengths and weaknesses. The Core Worlds are densely populated but resource-scarce, while the Outer Rim worlds are rich in resources but sparse in population. The Green Worlds, where players start, offer a delicate balance of both, but are also home to powerful fleets that won't give up without a fight. With normal complexity rules, fans of board games will have no trouble diving into this immersive and strategic game.
