Lost Victory: Manstein At Kharkov, Winter 1943, is a game that puts you in command of the opposing forces in one of the most pivotal battles of World War II. With a unique integrated Ops Phase, you get to choose what your units do and when they do it, without any artificial limits on when they can move and fight. This system, combined with a system of combat bonuses, gives you unparalleled control over your armies, allowing you to choose the right weapons for each battle. However, be careful, as the wrong HQ coordinating an attack or units from too many different formations can lead to a SNAFU, leaving your assault in shambles. The game features a fast-paced system, with a realistic combat model that includes artillery, tank, and engineer effects, as well as special rules for weather, recon, and fuel depletion. With a wide range of unit types, including motorized infantry, panzergrenadiers, and heavy tanks, you'll need to use all your strategic skills to outmaneuver your opponent. The game is designed for 1 to 4 players and can take anywhere from 2 to 12 hours to play, depending on your level of engagement. While the rules are of normal complexity, the game's depth and realism make it a challenging and rewarding experience for fans of wargames and World War II history.
