Description

Hitler's Last Gamble is a game for two players that drops you into the midst of World War II, specifically the Battle of the Bulge in December 1944. At this point, the Allies have already invaded France and are pushing into Germany from both the east and west, making the total defeat of Nazi Germany seem inevitable. However, Adolf Hitler has other plans, and he's preparing to launch a massive counterattack through the Ardennes in Belgium to capture the crucial port of Antwerp. With a complex set of rules that might take some time to learn, this game is perfect for experienced players looking for a challenge. As you play, you'll use a combination of dice rolling, grid movement, and combat results tables to simulate the battle, all set against the backdrop of a hexagon grid that represents the dense, misty forests of the Ardennes. With over 700 die-cut unit counters and two full-color maps, the game is deeply immersive, and the historical context is meticulously researched. Designed by Danny S. Parker and Dean Essig, Hitler's Last Gamble is a classic wargame that was first published in 1989, and its unique blend of strategy and simulation makes it a must-play for fans of World War II history and tactical gameplay.
