Description

Morelli is a strategic board game designed by Richard Moxham, where two players, Black and White, compete to capture the Throne, a single central cell on a 13x13 square grid. The game board is divided into concentric bands of different colors, and players start with 24 stones each on the outermost red band. The goal is to move your stones towards the Throne, while trying to capture your opponent's stones by flanking them with two of your own. A stone can move like a chess Queen, but with the added twist that it must always move closer to the Throne. As you play, you'll need to think carefully about your moves, trying to outmaneuver your opponent and create a rotationally-symmetrical arrangement of four stones around the Throne. The game is easy to learn, but with a normal level of complexity, it offers a fun and challenging experience for fans of abstract strategy games. With a playtime of just 45 minutes, Morelli is a great option for a quick but engaging game night. Whether you're a seasoned board game player or just looking for something new to try, Morelli's unique gameplay and colorful board make it a great choice for anyone looking for a fun and strategic challenge.
