In The Quest for the Sampo, you're on a mission to bring prosperity to your country by helping the great smith Ilmarinen forge the legendary Sampo. But to do that, you'll need to gather some pretty rare ingredients, including the finest wool of a lamb, a single grain of barley, white iron, and a white swan feather. And you're not the only one after the Sampo - Louhi, the Sorceress of Pohjola, is hot on your heels, trying to steal it for herself. With a simple set of rules that can be explained in no time, you can dive right into this thrilling adventure, exploring locations and overcoming encounters that require a combination of Brawn, Wits, Magic, and Luck. As you journey through the game, you'll use a unique dice-rolling mechanic to test your stats and succeed in encounters. With 9 points to distribute among your stats at the start of the game, you'll need to strategize about how to allocate them to maximize your chances of success. Inspired by the ancient mythology of the Kalevala, The Quest for the Sampo is a captivating solo experience that can be played in under 30 minutes. With its rich storyline and immersive gameplay, you'll be fully engaged as you navigate the challenges and obstacles that stand between you and the Sampo. Will you be able to outwit Louhi and claim the Sampo, or will she get there first? There's only one way to find out.
