Description

Founders of Gloomhaven is a city-building game where players control fantastical races working to build the city and gain influence over its residents. Set hundreds of years before the events of Gloomhaven, this standalone game challenges 1 to 4 players to use action cards to place resource buildings, create advanced resources, and deliver them to proposed building sites to earn prestige. However, no single player can do it alone, as they can only import a limited number of resource types, depending on their race. Players must work together to create more advanced resources, and an auction mechanism allows them to vote on new building proposals and their placement on the board. With a playtime of 90 to 120 minutes, Founders of Gloomhaven offers a complex and engaging experience, designed by Isaac Childres and published in 2018. As players navigate the game's intricate mechanics, they'll need to balance cooperation and competition to emerge victorious.
