Description

In The Build Up, players take on the role of amateur builders constructing a high-rise, with the goal of being the one who doesn't make it collapse. The game is simple to learn, with easy-to-explain rules that get you started quickly. On each turn, a player rolls dice and assigns tasks to their opponents, telling them where to place pillars on the floor tiles and when to add completed tiles to the growing tower. As the tower grows, it becomes increasingly unstable, and players must use their tactical skills to set up their opponents for disaster. With two to five players and a playtime of just 15 minutes, The Build Up is a fast-paced and fun game for the whole family. Designed by Kim Vandenbroucke and published in 2018, it's a great example of an action and dexterity game that's all about stacking and balancing, with a dash of luck and strategy thrown in.
