Description

D-Day is a classic wargame that drops you into the midst of World War II, where you'll take on the challenge of leading the Allied forces through the invasion of France and the push to the Rhine. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be immersed in the action from the start, navigating the hexagonal grid and using dice rolling and movement points to outmaneuver your opponent. As one of the first wargames of its kind, D-Day has been a benchmark for the genre since its release in 1961. Designed by Charles S. Roberts, the game is a simulation of the real-life events, with 50 game turns representing weeks of real time. With 195 counters at your disposal, you'll need to establish a beachhead, break out, and sustain your divisions across the Rhine in the face of heavy German opposition.
