Description

Decision at Elst is a gripping World War II board game that drops you into the midst of the battle at Elst, Holland, in September 1944. This intense wargame is designed for 2 players and can take anywhere from 360 to 720 minutes to play, so be prepared to settle in for a long and thrilling campaign. As the first Advanced Squad Leader Starter Kit Historical Module, it's a fully self-contained product that requires no prior knowledge or additional games to play. The game is set during Operation MARKET-GARDEN, where the British 214th Brigade advances toward Arnhem through the Dutch town of Elst, defended by the German Kampfgruppe Knaust. The game comes with a historically-accurate map of the battlefield, countersheets featuring British and German infantry, tanks, and guns, and a range of scenarios to play through, including a Campaign Game. The rules may take some time to learn, but with the included basic rules booklet and Campaign Game rules booklet, you'll have everything you need to dive in and start playing. Designed by Ken Dunn and published in 2014, Decision at Elst is a complex and challenging game that's perfect for fans of World War II history and tactical gameplay. With its unique blend of hexagon grid and scenario-based gameplay, it's an immersive and engaging experience that will keep you on the edge of your seat.
