Description
Duel in the Dark is a World War 2 air combat game where you take on the role of either the British Bomber Command or the German Air Force, engaging in nighttime air raids and defenses. As the British, you plan attacks on German cities to undermine civilian morale, while as the German, you defend using ace squadrons and civil defense. The gameboard allows for countless variations of historic events, with each night taking around 45 minutes to resolve. The gameplay is easy to learn, with advanced rules for experienced wargamers, and includes features like weather conditions, flak, searchlights, and balloon barriers. The British player secretly plots the bomber's course, using the Mosquito as escort or decoy, while the German player tries to track the bomber and use fuel efficiently to make hits. With its unique blend of strategy and simulation, Duel in the Dark is an immersive and thrilling game that puts you in the midst of World War 2's dark skies.
