In the fantasy world of sword and sorcery, every adventurer knows that a detailed map is essential for navigating the overworlds and exploring the dungeons below. As a Map Maker, you'll be exploring the depths of the area's most dangerous dungeons, documenting every creature and dungeon boss you meet, and hopefully defeating them along the way. Your goal is to delve deep into the dungeon, fighting your way through encounters and ultimately facing off against the final boss. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, you and up to three friends can become the heroes of the story, using your unique stats and abilities to overcome the challenges that lie ahead. The game is divided into two phases: dungeon delving and boss fighting. As you venture deeper into the dungeons, you'll choose and resolve encounters according to your hero's stats, using dice rolling to determine the outcomes. Each encounter will bring you closer to the final boss, and once you reach them, you'll engage in a fierce battle using special instructions on each boss sheet. With 12 different bosses to defeat, each with their own unique features, skills, and actions, you'll need to use different strategies to overcome them. The game is designed for 1 to 4 players, and a typical play session can last anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes, giving you plenty of time to explore the dungeons and battle the bosses. As you progress through the game, you'll have the opportunity to fill out the Wild Map, recording the details of the dungeon, including the number of levels and the final boss. With six dungeons to complete, you'll need to be brave and cunning to succeed. The hero who delivers the final blow to the dungeon boss gets to put their name on the Wild Map, ensuring their legacy lives on.
