In Sankokushin: Five Sacrifices, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure set in a fictional medieval Japan, where you'll take control of heroes arriving to assist the city-state of Yamashiro, a land ravaged by the quest for the Unseen. This fully cooperative campaign game lets you decide what activities your heroes pursue, where they explore, and who they meet, generating a unique storyline that unfolds over 12 months. You'll fight monsters and human foes in intense encounters where personality and tactical maneuvering are key, using diplomacy, intimidation, and psychological insight to outmaneuver your enemies. As you navigate the city of Yamashiro, you'll craft equipment, participate in festivals, and explore personal relationships with the town's inhabitants and assailants. The game's procedural narrative wraps you in its story without confining you to a guided plotline, and the actions of your heroes will alter the course of the city's destiny. With 10 bosses, each with a unique personality and story arc, you'll learn to love and hate their twisted personalities, and your strategies will influence their future behavior.
