Description
In the age of iron, the railroad is king, and you're a captain of industry looking to build a railroad empire. With Iron Horses, you'll compete against 1 to 3 other players to create the most lucrative trains using a special deck of cards. The game is easy to learn, with simple rules that can be explained quickly, making it accessible to new players. Each player starts with a train consisting of a locomotive engine and a tender full of coal, and then adds cars to their train, which are produced by four manufacturing companies, each owned by a player. As you build your train, you'll need to think strategically about which cars to add and when, as some types of cars are more valuable than others. Adding cars in the proper color order can also earn you bonus points. But it's not just about your own train - you'll also need to consider the public railroads and stock options, which can earn you extra points and bonuses. With a playtime of just 30 minutes, Iron Horses is a quick and exciting game that's perfect for a fun evening with friends or family. First published in 2011, this game has been a favorite among train enthusiasts and fans of card drafting and set collection mechanics, and its print and play design makes it easy to get started right away.
