Description

In Once Upon a Line, you'll embark on a thrilling adventure that combines cooperative gameplay, deduction, and role-playing elements. As one of 1 to 5 players, you'll take on the roles of heroes tasked with uncovering a mysterious narrative that unfolds over several chapters. The game is set in a futuristic world where a pandemic has ravaged the human population, and insects have evolved to become gigantic, with survivors exploiting their abilities to rebuild society. However, this new world is on the brink of collapse, and it's up to you to prevent the impending tragedy. As you play, you'll use a unique scratch-off ink board to reveal hidden words, which will guide you through the story and provide new challenges to overcome. With each word you uncover, you'll draw corresponding cards that will aid or hinder your progress. The game is full of puzzles, riddles, and brain teasers, including anagrams and palindromes, that will test your skills and keep you on the edge of your seat. With a playtime of 120 to 180 minutes, Once Upon a Line is an immersive experience that will keep you engaged from start to finish. Designed by Dan Thouvenot and published in 2024, this game offers a one-of-a-kind adventure that's perfect for fans of science fiction, mystery, and exploration.
