BATTALIA: The Stormgates is an exciting expansion to the base game BATTALIA: The Creation, bringing new mechanics and features to the table. With this expansion, the game can now be played with up to 6 players, introducing cooperative teamplay that adds a fresh layer of strategy and social interaction. Players can form alliances, work together, and experience new gameplay dynamics, all while saving time compared to the standard game duration. The Stormgates themselves allow for easier movement on the bigger map and introduce unpredictable event-bonuses, adding a thrilling element of surprise to the game. The expansion also introduces new cards, mechanics, and non-player characters that enhance gameplay and provide alternative strategies. The Kings & Queens mechanics add more power to your deck, while the Heroic mode allows for simultaneous attacks with increased moral bonus value. Two new non-player characters, Bilkarr O'the Mountain people and Metamorpha, bring unique abilities and challenges to the game. Bilkarr offers powerful potions, but you have to catch him as he moves constantly through the game board, while Metamorpha's influence changes depending on the environment, providing different bonuses and challenges throughout the game.
