Description

LocaliZED is a zombie survival game that lets you turn your own neighborhood into a post-apocalyptic battleground. With 1 to 8 players, you'll work together to survive the zombie hordes, using a map of your hometown as the game board. The game is easy to learn, but don't let that fool you - it's packed with action and suspense. Players start by setting up key locations like churches, schools, and police stations, and then receive random missions that force them to interact with these locations while zombies accumulate on the board. As the game progresses, players draw cards that can either help or hinder their progress. They might get bonus items or new abilities, or they might trigger a zombie outbreak that floods the map with even more undead. The core mechanic is simple: roll a dice to fight zombies, and if you win, you get to remove some of them from the board. But things get more interesting when players team up to fight zombies - they can roll extra dice and achieve higher scores, but if they lose, everyone in the team loses a life. And if you die, you don't get eliminated - you switch sides and become a zombie, gaining control over the zombie deployment. This unique mechanic adds a whole new level of excitement to the game. The game is designed to be highly customizable, with blank cards and a open-ended ruleset that encourages players to take ownership of the game world. The tone is tongue-in-cheek, with humorous elements throughout, and the final missions are always a surprise - will you be hiding out until the apocalypse ends, or trying to cure the zombies? With its unique blend of cooperation, strategy, and role-playing, LocaliZED is a game that's all about surviving in a world gone mad. And the best part? You can set it all in your own backyard, making the experience even more thrilling and immersive.
