Description

In Zooloretto Duell, you and your opponent are on a mission to build the ultimate zoo, and it's a battle for animal supremacy. This fast-paced card game is designed for two players and can be learned in no time, making it perfect for a quick 20-minute showdown. With easy-to-grasp rules, you'll be drafting cards and collecting animals in no time, trying to outdo your opponent by having the majority of animals in each species. As you play, you'll encounter six different species of animals, each with their own special abilities and quirks. Some animal cards have symbols that trigger special actions, like earning you a baby animal, letting you sneak a peek at the discard pile and grab a card you want, or even forcing you to take a penalty marker. But be careful - if you collect the same symbol three times, you'll end up losing out and taking a penalty instead. You'll also stumble upon food stalls, which can be super valuable if you collect the right symbols, earning you money that you can use to sabotage your opponent or clear your penalties. The game is over after the sixth scoring round or when the "last round" card pops up, and the player with the most points is declared the winner. With its unique blend of area majority, card drafting, and set collection mechanics, Zooloretto Duell is a thrilling ride that's all about strategy and cunning. Designed by Michael Schacht and first released in 2017, this game is a must-play for anyone who loves animals, card games, and a little friendly competition. So gather your cards, build your zoo, and get ready to duel it out for the top spot - the ultimate zoo owner title is up for grabs.
