Description
In the colourful card game Rainbow, two players compete to create as many rainbows as possible by strategically placing cards in a common area. With simple rules that can be explained quickly, this 2021 game designed by Mathias Spaan is easy to learn but challenging to master. Players must use a combination of tactics, combination skills, and a good memory to outmanoeuvre their opponent and collect the most cards. The game is played over a series of rounds, with each player taking turns playing up to three cards at a time. However, they must be careful not to play a card that matches a colour already on display, or they'll lose the round and their opponent will gain all the cards. The goal is to create a complete rainbow by playing the sixth card in a row in a missing colour, which rewards the player with all six cards. With a playtime of just 10 to 15 minutes, Rainbow is a quick and exciting game that requires players to push their luck and make strategic decisions to emerge victorious. As the game ends when the deck runs low, players must think carefully about their moves to collect the most cards and win the game.
