Description

In Traders of Osaka, 2 to 4 players take on the role of merchants navigating the waters of 17th century Japan, attempting to deliver cargo from Osaka to Edo. The game is a set collection game at its core, where players collect sets of goods to earn points. With a simple ruleset and a playtime of just 30 minutes, it's easy to learn and quick to play. Players use cards to represent goods, gold, and protection from pirates, and must strategically decide how to use them to maximize their score. As ships move along the route, players can buy goods, get coins, or reserve cards for later use. The game ends when a player earns 8 or more achievement tokens, and the player with the highest score wins. With its unique blend of commodity speculation, hand management, and set collection, Traders of Osaka offers a fun and challenging experience for players of all skill levels.
