Description

In Meltdown 2020, a disaster has struck, damaging nuclear reactors across the country, and it's up to you to lead the evacuation efforts. With the clock ticking, you must navigate the modular board, composed of twelve tiles, to rescue your people and get them to safety at one of the two airfields. The game is easy to learn, making it accessible to players of all skill levels, and can be played with 1 to 5 players in just 40 minutes. As you pick up and deliver your color-coded passengers using your vehicles, including cars, buses, and helicopters, you'll need to contend with radiation outbursts and sickness that can harm your people. As the game unfolds, radiation counters will be placed on the reactors, and your people will absorb radiation, becoming ill or even dying if they're too close to the reactors. Your goal is to rescue as many people as possible, while also trying to keep them healthy. The game ends when one reactor receives a fifth counter or a 16th counter is to be placed on the board, and the player who has rescued the most people wins. With its unique blend of pick-up and deliver, simulation, and modular board mechanics, Meltdown 2020 is a thrilling transportation-themed game that will keep you on the edge of your seat as you race against time to save your people.
