Description

In Power On, the goal is simple: create power plants to supply energy to cities efficiently. But with four types of power plants to choose from - coal-fired, natural gas, nuclear, and renewable-energy - the strategy is where things get interesting. Each type has its pros and cons, and players must weigh these carefully as they build their energy empire. The game is easy to learn, making it accessible to players of all experience levels, and with a playtime of just 30 to 50 minutes, it's perfect for a quick game night with friends. As players use coal-fired or natural gas power plants to produce energy, they'll have to pile up CO2 emission tokens, building a carbon tower that will grow higher and higher. But be warned: if the tower gets too high, it will collapse, and players will have to pay the price. With 2 to 4 players competing to earn the most points, the game is full of exciting challenges and surprises. Designed by a team of four talented game designers - Yen-Lin Chen, Tao-Tao Chen, Yu-Xuan Su, and An-Qi Zheng - and first published in 2018, Power On is a fun and engaging card game that's all about finding the right balance between energy production and environmental responsibility.
