Description
Qawale is a simple yet tactical game that will challenge your idea of strategy games. Inspired by the tradition of stacking stones along trails and paths in nature, this game transports you to a place where strategy and nature come together. With just 15 minutes of playtime, you and your opponent can engage in a quick and intense battle of wits. The game rules are easy to learn, making it accessible to new players, and with only two players, it's a great game for a head-to-head competition. As you play Qawale, you'll lay stones on the path, trying to line up four stones in your color. Each player starts with 8 stones, and the neutral stones in the corners of the board add an extra layer of complexity. On your turn, you'll add a stone to any pile and move it, leaving a stone on each space you cross. The first player to get four of their stones in a row wins the game. With its unique blend of grid coverage, grid movement, and pattern building, Qawale is a game that will keep you on your toes. Designed by Didier Lenain-Bragard and Romain Froger, and published in 2022, Qawale is a great addition to any board game collection, offering a fun and challenging experience for fans of abstract strategy games.
