Description

Get ready to build your legacy in Foundations of Rome, a city-building board game where you compete to own land and construct magnificent structures. As an architect, you'll build domus and insulae, fountains, foundries, and more to increase your renown and gain glory for yourself and the empire. With easy-to-learn rules, you'll be on your way to achieving glory within Rome in no time. In this 60 to 90 minute game for 2 to 4 players, you'll select from purchasing new lots, building in the shared city, or collecting income on your turn. At the end of each round, you'll collect Glory Points based on the population and commerce you've brought to the city, as well as scoring for civic buildings that take into account your opponents' structures. Designed by Emerson Matsuuchi and Stephen Gibson, Foundations of Rome is a testament to the glory of Rome that you can bring to the table.
