Description

In the frozen tundra of Arctic, 2 to 4 players embark on a thrilling adventure to spot and collect animals, all while navigating the icy landscape. With easy-to-learn rules, this 20 to 40 minute game is perfect for a quick yet exciting gaming session. Designed by Cédric Lefebvre and published in 2024, Arctic combines deck construction, hand management, and set collection to create a unique and engaging experience. As you move your token across the landscape, you'll create a pile of animal cards, each with its own placement value, main animal, companion animal, and draw value. The goal is to collect sets of consecutive animal cards, while also diversifying your sightings and moving your token towards the pack ice. With each turn, you'll place cards from your hand into your pile, move your token, and draw new cards from the "river". You'll also have the chance to use powerful animal abilities, such as moving extra spaces or drawing from your penalty pile. As the game comes to a close, you'll score points for your sets, bonuses for completing multiple sets, and for how far your token has advanced. But beware - any cards left in your penalty pile will cost you points. With its simple yet strategic gameplay, Arctic is a must-play for fans of card games and animal enthusiasts alike.
