Description
In Hold Your Breath, 2 to 4 players take on the role of pirates treading water in the ocean, competing to see who can dive the deepest and resurface first. The game is ridiculously simple to learn, making it accessible to everyone, and plays out in just 20 minutes. With a mix of hand management and push your luck mechanics, players must carefully decide when to dive deeper and when to try and resurface, all while trying to sabotage their opponents with nasty cards like "Panic" and "Shark". As players navigate the challenges of the ocean, they'll need to balance their desire to dive deep with the risk of running out of air. The pirate who dives the deepest and resurfaces first wins, but be warned, the journey back to the surface is just as treacherous as the dive down. With its lighthearted humor and nautical theme, Hold Your Breath is a fun and entertaining game for players of all ages, designed by Daniel Jenkins and Christopher Urinko and first published in 2014.
