Description
In Gateway: Uprising, 2 to 4 players take on the roles of insurgent wizards fighting to reclaim the Great City of Gateway. The game starts with each player having the same basic resources, but from there, it's every wizard for themselves. Players build their army by drafting new wizards, heroes, and magical creatures, and battle to defeat and defend different districts of the city. As players liberate districts, they gain access to unique powers and abilities that can aid them in their fight. But they must be careful, as other players and the forces of Chancellor Gideon and the invading Drueggar monsters will try to steal their districts and destroy their chances of winning. With the help of powerful one-time-use spells called Runestones, players must collect victory points by defeating enemies, controlling districts, and utilizing special abilities to emerge victorious before the city falls to the Drueggar.
